15 Years in Business

Founded in 2005 Doug Deakin and Ben Matthews opened AESTEC Services to service the local Gladstone Industry.  In 2016 Doug & Roxanne Deakin became the sole owners of the organisation.

It all began in a home office in 2005, because of the growth of the business in 2011 AESTEC built the head office on Benaraby Road, Gladstone and relocated the entire operation to one premises.

To offer a holistic approach to the services for our clients, an expansion of the head office was needed. This included a state of the art fabrication workshop along with the mobile maintenance workshop, allowing us to develop our own service team to maintain the AESTEC fleet of vehicles and machinery.

Today AESTEC Services is the proud employer of 200 local employees across a multitude of trades and skill backgrounds.  We have assisted 20 Apprentices to complete their trade qualifications including dual trades. Today AESTEC boasts 11 apprentices including 2 adult apprentices.  In 2021 AESTEC’s apprentice program is taking on an additional 6 apprentices.

The growth in business has allowed AESTEC to support the local community including Gladstone Engineering Alliance, Boyne Tannum Hookup, The Art Gallery Gladstone Hospital and many sporting groups and organisations.
