Doug Deakin

Meet Doug, our Managing Director, possessing an extensive 30 years of experience in industrial maintenance and project management. 

As an initial founder of Aestec Services, Doug has passionately led the Aestec team as Managing Director for two decades. Under Doug’s leadership, what started in a home office in 2005 has grown to a diverse workforce of 300 employees, with a variety of trades and skill backgrounds. Doug brings comprehensive expertise in delivering multi-skilled projects and maintenance contracts across various industries.

Having began his career with an apprenticeship and completing two trade qualifications, Doug is committed to providing apprenticeship opportunities to others, enabling individuals to enter the industrial workforce and achieve their professional aspirations. Aestec Services has proudly assisted 31 apprentices in attaining their trade qualifications.

Doug prioritises developing strong relationships with his clients and team, leading Aestec in building lasting relationships, some spanning nearly two decades, with key industries in the region. He is passionate about strengthening the Gladstone region through his work, and by actively contributing to our community through support for local organisations and events. His innovative and positive approach inspires and motivates those around him, establishing him as an influential and empowering leader in the Gladstone region.
