Aestec Services is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Asbestos / Sheetmetal Supervisor to join our team in Gladstone.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows how to lead from the front, coordinate a team and keep projects moving safely, efficiently and productively.

This is a local position and is not suitable for FIFO or DIDO arrangements. We’re looking for someone who lives in Gladstone or is genuinely willing to relocate for a long-term opportunity.

About you

We’re looking for a confident and experienced supervisor who can lead teams, coordinate resources and deliver quality outcomes.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in asbestos, sheetmetal, construction or maintenance
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, mentor and support your team
  • The ability to effectively coordinate labour, equipment and materials
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with clients, employees and stakeholders
  • Local Gladstone residency or a genuine willingness to relocate

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support your team to deliver safe, efficient and productive project outcomes
  • Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure work is completed to the required standards
  • Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and resources
  • Monitor project costs and assist in maintaining budgets
  • Develop clear and accurate scopes of work
  • Support the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with WHS policies, procedures and relevant legislation
  • Liaise with clients and key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and drive better project outcomes
  • Promote and maintain Aestec’s Zero Harm culture

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant Trade Certificate – highly desirable, or strong demonstrated industry experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within construction, maintenance, asbestos, sheetmetal or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of project delivery and workforce coordination
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills
  • A genuine commitment to safety and continuous improvement
