Celebrating 20 Years

This year, we proudly marked the 20th Anniversary of Aestec Services. We commemorated this exciting milestone with a week of celebrations. The events brought together our employees, clients, and community partners who have been part of our journey.

Our Story

Founded in 2005, Aestec Services was established to support the local Gladstone Industry. This year, we proudly celebrate 20 years of strengthening the region and backing our community.

By 2011, Aestec’s growth called for a new chapter. Our purpose-built head office and state-of-the-art workshops on Benaraby Road laid the foundation to further develop our team, fleet, and capabilities. This milestone supported our holistic approach to our services and clients.

Over the years, we’ve built lasting relationships, some spanning two decades, and remained a steady partner to the region’s key industries.

We value the strength of our community, with over 300 local employees from a wide range of trades and skill backgrounds. We’re proud to have supported over 35 apprentices in achieving trade qualifications, many dual-trade certified, and many more still in training.

Now, celebrating our 20th Anniversary, Aestec Services continues to grow with our people, our clients, and the region we proudly call home.

Our People

We are very proud of our people, with 300 local employees from a wide range of trades and skill backgrounds.

A central part of our workforce development is our Apprenticeship Program. “We’re proud to have supported 40 apprentices in achieving trade qualifications, many dual-trade certified, and many more still in training,” Director Doug Deakin shared.

Our first apprentice, Nathan Parnaby, recently celebrated his 20-year anniversary with Aestec Services. Now Aestec’s Projects Planning & Implementation Manager, his anniversary represented a proud milestone for the Aestec’s history.

Our Community

Our 20th Anniversary was an opportunity to reflect on our valued partnerships and relationships within the community. We are proud to back local events, charities, sporting groups, and causes that make a real difference, including:

  • Gladstone Engineering Alliance (GEA): We have proudly sponsored GEA for eight years and continue to support their annual Major Industry Conference and Awards Night, which showcases the region’s capabilities.

  • CQShines: We helped secure the final funds to introduce life-saving Teladoc technology at Gladstone Hospital, connecting patients with specialists across the country in critical moments and improving healthcare access for regional Queenslanders.

  • Boyne Tannum HookUp: Our eight-year sponsorship of Australia’s biggest family fishing competition draws thousands of entrants and visitors, boosting small businesses and local tourism.

As Director Doug Deakin says, “Our purpose is our people, and for us, this is our team, our clients, and the people in our community.”

With 20 years behind us, we are excited to look ahead to the next chapter, continuing to support the region’s future.
